Past, present and Future

Past: Originally Orchard Farming dominated Saratoga.

Present:
Saratoga has one of the loveliest harbours on the Coast with good fishing from any of the jetties in Summer.

Saratoga also boasts some of the best sunsets on the Central Coast. With waterfront tables and chairs as seen in the pictures, its a great spot to relax and watch the sunset.

Saratoga Village Shopping Centre has it all. Supermarket, butcher, delicatessen, Hair and Beauty, Real Estate Offices, Pizza, Service Station and Hardware, (a fantastic butcher), Bakery, Newsagent, Bottle Shop and boat ramp. Saratoga is one of the only north facing Waterfronts on the Brisbane Water.

Just outside of Saratoga Harbour is Paddy's Channel. Notorious for its fine and varied catches of fish.

A local Ferry service provides transport throughout the Brisbane Water, linking Woy Woy, Empire Bay and Davistown.

Future: Plans to increase the Ferry service to the future Gosford Marina are being considered. The Ferry currently picks up at Veterans Hall Wharf.

ARTICLE:

Saratoga Junior Australian Football Club is a newly formed club in the Saratoga/Kincumber region providing our kids from 5-14 access to the Australian Game. We commenced operation a few years ago as an Auskick Centre and now have grown into a club offering Under 10's, 12's and hopefully 14's.

Auskick provides kids (boys & girls) new to the sport an easy and provides children with skill development and appropriately modified games and matches. It's involving, exciting, safe and most important of all: FUN for both kids and parents and is run in our community.

As well as great coaching advice and fun with friends, registered AFL Auskick participants in 2003 will receive; an official AFL Auskick backpack, water bottle, synthetic Sherrin Football, Russell athletic cap, poster book, membership cap, ladder, tattoos and CD ROM.

Auskick is run every Saturday morning at Saratoga Oval - starting at 9am - just to make the whole experience just that much more inviting... no more travel.

As for our competition players - as a family orientated club with the emphasis squarely sitting on FUN, the whole competitive situation is made as enjoyable for all our players - irrespective of skill levels!

So, come along & join in the fun of the only TRUE AUSTRALIAN GAME played right on your doorstep.
